2024 Best of the Fest Contest Prompt: STRANGE WEATHER

This year’s prompt is STRANGE WEATHER: REFLECTIONS ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE.

Climate change. It’s a global threat. We are all vulnerable to the devastating impacts of a warming planet. In the words of climate scientist Katherine Hayhoe, “THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO DO IS...TALKING ABOUT WHY IT MATTERS TO US.” With that in mind, we want to know what you are thinking. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

• Submit any work of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, or visual art that responds to the prompt by September 1, 2024.

• 600 word maximum for written submissions.

• Visual art submissions may include a caption of up to 25 words.

• Participants allow entries to be posted on Collingswood Book Festival website and social media platforms.
