Volunteer
Get involved! Volunteer your talents, time, and energy with the Collingswood Book Festival!
The Collingswood Book Festival would not exist without the dedication of dozens of volunteers. Each year, volunteers gave their time and talents to help make the event a success. We are always seeking volunteers to help with many aspects of the festival, including marketing and publicity, fundraising, promoting our authors, coordinating our volunteers, to name but a few.

What Our Volunteers Say
I have been a Collingswood Book Festival volunteer from its inception in 2002. As a book lover it was very exciting to help create and organize this one of a kind literary event. We literally started with a blank page, but thanks to our many volunteers, our festival has evolved into the largest literary celebration in the Delaware Valley. As a group we are dedicated to spreading the message that reading is one of the great pleasures in life. Books are fun! If you have that same mindset, please join us. We count on new volunteers to bring fresh ideas and new perspectives. Volunteer opportunities range from joining a committee (authors, children’s area, staging, publicity, etc), attending monthly meetings April through September, or working a few hours on festival day (setting up chairs, greeting an author, staffing a contest, etc.). We are a diverse group of people who came together out of our love of books. Volunteer and become part of our festival family!

Volunteering is good for the body and mind. Since becoming a Collingswood Book Festival volunteer in 2008 I have found my connection to the community and skills I never knew I had, and valuable friendships. I was compelled to join this dedicated group of people who've been together since 2002, who inspire and support each other daily through the nine-month planning process, so much that I took on the role of chairperson. The book festival is one of the most esteemed events in the area and I'm so proud to help make it happen.

The Collingwood Book Festival has a long tradition of attracting book lovers from the South Jersey and Philadelphia area. For a decade I came as a participant, and when I was invited to volunteer, I jumped at the chance. I love surrounding myself with like-minded people who want to promote the art of reading. It's been an exciting challenge to create a virtual conference. I'm especially excited about the Diversity Panel that will focus on children's books that highlight diversity including race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and disabilities.
